Over the next several weeks I’ll be spotlighting the talented artists featured in Sake and a Dream, a Bobu art exhibition happening Sept 12th in NYC. Meet @Joshuayapable, an artist whose journey began in the margins of school textbooks, sketching Mask Rider heroes and dreaming up new worlds. Long nights with Shaman King, D.Grayman, Inuyasha, Hunter x Hunter, and Cowboy Bebop shaped a bold, story rich, monochromatic style. Inspired by Katsuya Terada and Ackybright, Josh’s work pulls you into layered perspectives and places you wish you could explore. For Sake and a Dream, his vision of Bobu reflects the many roles we all play: astronaut, farmer, streamer, sake bar owner and our shared drive to dream without limits. In Josh’s words, he hopes viewers “see a piece of Bobu in yourself… to dream freely and pursue aspirations without limits.” One of Joshua's dreams? To one day meet Yoshihiro Togashi, pour him a sake, and talk about Killua’s destiny. We are honored and excited to have his work in the exhibition, a piece that captures imagination, identity, and the creative spirit that drives this community. Can't wait for you to experience it. Previews coming soon. IKZ! ⛩️🍶
