43,000 bitcoins staked. $5 billion in TVL. Things are just getting started. When Bitcoin staking was first conceived in 2023, many said it couldn't be done. "Bitcoin can't secure PoS chains." "You can't make Bitcoin slashable." But the math showed otherwise. I keep thinking about that 0.24% figure. Less than one-third of one percent of Bitcoin's market cap is already enough to place Genesis among the top 10 PoS chains by security. What happens at 1%?  At 5%? The scale is mind-boggling. The layered approach keeps me up at night - security layer plus liquidity layer on top of that. It's the networking model applied to blockchain infrastructure. My research background keeps showing up in unexpected ways. Layer by layer, we're building something that couldn't exist before. Trustlessness remains the core challenge. From academic theory to practical implementation, the ideas keep flowing. When they all connect, the result is better than the sum of its parts. This is just Phase 2. The real promise comes in Phase 3 when other BSNs join the ecosystem. Bitcoin's capital, activated at scale, securing the broader crypto landscape. Not competing with Bitcoin, but extending its reach and utility. This is what I've been working toward all along.
