In the Church of St. Nicholas in Stockholm is a painting by the artist Urbano "The Miracle of Stockholm". It tells the story of a real astronomical event that the inhabitants of Stockholm observed on April 20, 1535, when for several hours people saw giant glowing rings over the city, similar to several suns. Many thought that God was punishing Sweden for its sins and that the end of the world had come. People hid in terror in churches. The famous politician and mathematician Olaf Petri commissioned the artist Urbano to capture this phenomenon. "The Sun Discs" were discussed for a century, and Urbano's painting is now in the cathedral of the Swedish capital.
